Crispy Oven-Baked Truffled French Fries

Crispy (and healthy!) oven-baked french fries are so easy to make and something everyone will love! With our White Truffle Carpaccio and Truffle Sea Salt - you'll be hooked from the first bite!

Makes 4 Servings

Ingredients:

  •  3 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil - split into 3
  •  1 1/2 pounds yellow potatoes - approximately 4 large ones
  •  1 teaspoon Truffle Sea Salt
  •  1 tablespoon White Truffle Carpaccio
  •  1 teaspoon garlic powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon dried dill
  •  1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  •  1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  •  Fresh parsley for topping (optional)
  •  Freshly grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
  •  Ketchup as a side (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place a rack in the lower third of your oven and preheat to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Brush a large baking sheet with 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil, spreading it all over as needed so that it nicely coats the pan.
  2. Scrub clean the potatoes and peel if desired (leaving the peels on gives it additional flavor and crunch). Slice the potatoes into 1/4-inch-wide sticks.
  3. Put the potatoes in a large bowl, and pour very hot tap water over the potatoes so that they are covered by at least 1 inch. Let them sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the water from the bowl, and transfer the potatoes to a clean towel and dry as much as you can, changing the towel if needed.
  5. Rinse and wipe clean the bowl you soaked the potatoes in, and return the potatoes to the bowl. Drizzle with the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil and sprinkle with truffle salt, garlic powder, dill weed, onion powder, and pepper.
  6. Mix together, making sure the spices and oil are evenly distributed among the potatoes. Arrange the potatoes into a single layer on the oil-coated baking sheet.
  7. Bake the potatoes on the baking sheet in the lower third of the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, until you see them turning golden underneath.
  8. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and, with a large spatula, carefully loosen the fries from the baking sheet. Try to flip them in large sections so that the potatoes rotate and brown evenly on all sides. Rearrange the potatoes again in an even single layer (so they don't overlap).
  9. Place the baking sheet back into the oven and continue baking until the potatoes are as golden and crispy as you like, about 5 to 10 additional minutes (30 minutes total is the perfect time for those that love extra crunchy french fries!). While the french fries are still hot, gently spread the White Truffle Carpaccio slices evenly across all of the fries. Add parsley and Parmesan cheese as additional toppings, if desired. ENJOY!
